Not Quite Ready for a BlogectoMe

A few weeks back, I decided I was getting rid of the 'Me' and the 'ME' in my post titles.  I was going in for a BlogectoMe, the ultimate 'me' excision.  And I tried.  I really, really tried.

But I am finding it impossible to stop.  I am coming to terms with the fact that this blog is truly all about me.  All about me in the ME (ME as in Middle East for those of you who haven't yet caught onto that theme).  So it doesn't make much sense to get rid of the 'me' or the 'ME'.

To do so would be rather hypocritical.  I mean, who am I trying to fool?  This blog isn't a social commentary.  I'm not an exactor of change.  I'm not aiming to share any particularly useful information with the world.  This page is not a political platform.  Heck, the 'me' and the "ME" is the only theme I've got going here.

This blog is just a rather mundane account of the things that may or may not be going well in my life on any given day.  It's a view into a very ordinary life made occasionally extraordinary by the fact that it is lived in the Middle East.  It's a page on which I am free to lay down my views, my perceptions, my hopes and my fears about what's going on with 'me' and what's going on in the 'ME'.  Yup, it's all about me, all about ME.

The BlogectoMe may come, but not yet.  For now, I strive to remain the ultimate meme*.

*  From Wikipedia, my favorite go-to frequently erroneous fact source:  A meme (pron.: /ˈmiːm/; meem)  [2] acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals or other imitable phenomena.
